Lost Shade
182 Neff Avenue Unit W-1 Moved to a much larger location with more room for tables and play space. Now carries even more games plus specialty children's toys, comic books and models. ReviewIf you've shopped at Lost Shade, tell us what you think of the store. ReviewsIf you are into RPGs this is a horrible game shop. It is almost never open--hours are only noon to 9pm, only 3 days a week. It is not welcoming of young players--they have a strict policy that anyone under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times (woe to those of us who fondly remember spend most of our middle-school years relaxing at a FLGS). It has only a single, small rack of RPG products, which only ever includes one copy each of the core books for the latest version of D&D and a few out of date Pathfinder adventures. It has nothing for other players of other games, nor any older products for collectors on the hunt. It does nothing to advance the cause of gaming in the area (no board for posting LFG requests, no solicitation policy, no table for hosting games). All in all...it sucks. Note: There are a few minor redeeming qualities: 1) Huge selection of miniatures and miniatures supplies (s.p. for wargamers). 2) Nice selection of Magic Cards (including singles, packed commons/uncommons, etc.) 3) Smattering of decent board games, but nothing that is not cheaper or easier to find on Amazon...and no one there willing to talk about or show you a game you haven't played before. -- Brandon Lighter Been there once, would come back if I could ever find you open -- Rick |
